In this class we'll learn about primary colours, how to mix them to create new colours and how to draw animals and landscapes.  Each of our projects will be fairly quick and simple as we're focusing on beginning skills and knowledge for art.

This class will focus on learning the foundations for creating a good drawing or painting.  We will work on different drawing techniques as well as shading.  We will also be learning how to create many variations of colour with paint and the rules of painting an arcuate landscape.

My Story as an Artist

I loved teaching art at a young age.  I would invite friends over to give them art lessons.  When my mom signed me up for art classes as a teenager I would spend most of my time giving the other students tips and pointers.  In High school I was awarded the Art Award for grade 10 and 12

I was accepted into the Art and Photography program at BYU-I University where I both majored and minored in art. I was sad to find out that there were many skills and techniques that I was never taught in my many art classes as a kid.  These skills could have been easily taught at a young age and would have drastically improved my art.

I graduated in the top 3% of my class and was recommended by my professors to speak at graduation as the valedictorian for the Art Department.  Now, alongside my photography business, I teach all these skills and techniques that I learnt to give others an opportunity to bring out their best artist in themselves.
